Technical description
ZPUE S.A. company manufactures cable boxes on the basis of its SKR type cubicles made of reinforced fiber-glass composites or metal. They are the basic elements of the LV cable electricity grid. They are used for energy distribution, metering and protection against overload and short-circuit effects in low voltage cable grids, depending on intended requirements. Cable boxes enable disconnection from the low voltage cable route and the power supply to the recipient thanks to the inner supply line. They function as fittings or loop-throughs.
ZPUE S.A. has in its offer a wide variety of boxes: cable, metering, and cable-metering, which were developed in close collaboration with the power distribution companies. Cable, metering-cable and metering boxes are manufactured based on thermosetting and metal cubicles, which can be installed outside buildings as free-standing with the fundament or wall-mounted, or installed in the wall of the building.

Characteristics
- modular construction, which allows the replacing of faulty parts,
- construction, which allows for easy box expansion,
- construction, which allows for horizontal and vertical sectioning into power distribution company and recipients’ parts,
- optimal cubicle depth, which allows the installation of slat switch disconnectors,
- possibility to use inspection windows and inspection doors,
- degree of protection IP 44 / IP 54 in thermosetting cubicles with the possibility of raising to IP 66 – in metal cubicles,
- excellent UV resistance,
- possibility to construct boxes based on any system and in any dimension (does not require expenditures for purchase of moulds),
- environmentally-friendly material,
- effective labyrinth ventilation, which prevents condensate formation,
- high impact resistance thanks to definition of the control breaking point,
- aluminium circuit flexibility causes deformation, not breaking of the cubicle.
Compliance with the standards
LV switchgears and cable boxes manufactured by ZPUE S.A. comply with the provisions of directive 2006/95/WE of the European Parliament and of the Council and directive 93/68/EWG with changes. Compliance of the abovementioned products with the directives is ensured by fulfilling the requirements of the following norms:
